Shortkut, Apollo and Vin Roc are a triumvirate of turntablists who have been through the whole evolution of the DJ; each started in the mid-'80s as a mobile DJ, doing various gigs and parties. Now they're world-renowned battle turntablists who defeat competitors using the most original manipulations of sound on wax as their weapons. Shortkut is famous for his precise cuts and beat juggling, manually making new drum patterns of the kicks, snares and high hats already pressed on vinyl. Apollo's turntable finesse has hooked him up with Branford Marsalis, East St. Louis' Russell Gunn and the Hieroglyphics' Souls of Mischief. Vin Roc is the only DJ in the world to have won the International Turntablist Federation's annual competition two consecutive years. The three will unite to orchestrate the beats and melodies of the main event.
