Note that the McDonald's barge down by the Arch isn't about to close and Ira, not George, Gershwin wrote the lyrics to "Summertime" in Porgy and Bess. It's not easy being Greg Freeman, particularly when you have to get all these nitpicky things right. But one thing from Freeman's Sunday column in the Post-Dispatch that he did get correcto-mundo — boy, has it been hot lately. One more tip, Greg, since your air conditioning went out in the middle of the night and you wrote St. Louis has no 24-hour appliance store. There's a 24-hour Wal-Mart down by the Jefferson Barracks Bridge. And who knows, it could spur a column about Greg Freeman in a Wal-Mart at 3 a.m. — more grist for the Freeman mill.
