General manager Terry Deckard says that the winning margarita recipe was brought by Hacienda owner Norberto Rodriguez from his native Mexico City. The secret ingredient, she says, is lime: "Some places use lemon mix, but we use lime so it's sweet as well as tart. It's a nice taste. Also, our margaritas are popular because they're pretty strong. There's a nice tequila bite to them, but not too bitey."
