"No one named John D. McGurk ever lived here or worked here," says John M. McGuire. "He's a fictional character from an Irish folksong. We know someone's had too many when they call here and ask for him." McGurk's is a truly authentic Irish pub that's been called more Irish than those in Ireland. It features cozy fireplaces, lots of wood and brick, Guinness and Harp libations, and traditional Irish music seven nights a week.
