Japanese Cuisine

Robata of Japan

When the teppanyaki style of cooking -- the Japanese cut-and-cook-in-front-of-your-eyes style -- hit St. Louis, sushi was still a foreign concept, reserved only for those with real culinary courage. Now that sushi has gone mainstream, you might expect such a restaurant to move front and center in this category. But the entertainment factor of Robata's still plays big. Certainly it doesn't hurt that they've added California rolls to their menu.
