If you think about it, a restaurant needs to fulfill three prerequisites to qualify for a perfect outdoor dining destination: (1) The setting: either beautiful or interesting; (2) The pace: slow and laid back; and (3) The food: creative. It's funny, though. As long as the restaurant covers the setting and the pace, they may be able to get away with less-than-amazing food to attract outdoor diners. But not if they want to place in our poll. Look at Bar Italia. Eat at Bar Italia. Their approach to outdoor dining has No. 1 written all over it.
