Outdoor dining is something Americans don't avail themselves of nearly enough. Somehow food just tastes better when it's accompanied by the sun shining down and a slow, cool breeze that makes you want to linger over your meal and savor every bit of the experience. This is something they know about at Bar Italia, which features a large, outdoor space for dining, lingering over a cappuccino, or just watching the world go by. As good as the ambiance is, the food at Bar Italia is even better, with terrific pasta creations (the tortellini is a specialty), fish, and an incredible array of desserts. And don't overlook that wine list.
