Delmonico's Diner
Plenty of places in town serve soul food, but for food that is truly good for the soul, you need to go straight to Delmonico's. For more than 30 years, the cafeteria-style diner has been serving up a wide variety of dishes - pot roast, fried fish, and chicken and dumplings, to name a few, with sides such as greens and bacon, corn bread, home-made macaroni and cheese, and sweet potatoes - and serving them with a warmth and hospitality that says "down home." There's nothing fancy here, just great food. The menu changes constantly, which is only one reason you'll come back for more. Your soul will demand it.
