Frank Cusamano is a local. He went to DeSmet High School, which you can tell by listening to his daily radio show on KFNS (590 AM). He played basketball at UMSL. He's a fan of the Cardinals, Rams, Blues and St. Louis University basketball, as you can tell by the energy in his voice when he does his sportscasts for KSDK-TV (Channel 5). He's a homer, but he's also a hard worker who loves what he does and goes full-steam. No one on any radio station has more guests per show than Cusamano. Even when the guest is a clunker, it's worth it to stay tuned, because in the next six minutes chances are Frank has somebody better booked. His TV strengths are his features that air on Sports Plus on Sunday nights. Sure, he's perky, and sometimes his stories are a tad cornball, but there's an authenticity you get with Cusamano that you don't find elsewhere in local TV sports.
