Peter Riegert takes his excellent film on a cross-country journey
"You can look at dailies every day, and they're always great because they don't exist in the context of the story. But once the story starts to have a heartbeat, scenes that you thought were wonderful sometimes reject themselves, and scenes that you thought very little of get retained. And you find that heartbeat in the editing room."
The current tour continues through September, at which point the campaign shifts gears and Riegert begins to hawk the DVD. He's not saying how he'll do that just yet, but door-to-door sounds like a distinct possibility.
