Mötley Crüe can probably rest assured that the single most embarrassing moment of its whole comeback business transpired last December, when the aging kings of hard-rock sleaze appeared on Larry King Live to announce their reunion tour. Aside from the humiliation of being asked how "Tommy Lee being so famous" has affected the rest of the band and having their guitarist repeatedly addressed as "Nick Mars," the guys nearly had two-plus decades of drug-and-groupie-gobbling negated by King's introduction as they took the stage for a feeble rendition of "Dr. Feelgood": "Ladies and gentlemen, the Mötley Crüe!"
Still, the band appears to have bounced back rather nicely. Its traveling freak circus -- complete with the requisite lesbian strippers, midgets and pyro explosions -- has been moving tickets faster than any of the Crüe can find another buxom young blonde to marry. More important, they're supposedly sounding a hell of a lot better -- even if plastic-surgeried Vince Neil can't quite hit all the high notes anymore.
Show starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 to $78; call 314-298-9944 for more information.
