Can a red boy play the blues? When it comes to Swedish anarcho-socialist rockers The (International) Noise Conspiracy, the answer is an emphatic "ja!" As heard on albums like Survival Sickness and their latest, Armed Love, the (I)NC ably wield garage-punk swagger, indie-rock angst and arena-scale guitars in the service of the class struggle. Producer Rick Rubin turned Armed songs like "Communist Moon" into tight, tidy punk anthems, but the Conspiracy remains an untamed force live, equally likely to swing into an uptight mod R&B vamp or a crazed Stooges-style extended meltdown. Plus, they always wear matching outfits!

Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $16 in advance, $18 at door; call 618-274-6720 for more information.
