If the guys in Big Head Todd and the Monsters had received senior superlatives when they attended Columbine High School, they probably would have been voted "Most Amiable Group." (But not in a pushover or sissy way; they probably got chicks and were fun at parties.) They're one of those earthy groups that consistently produces music that's a host's dream: Throw a Big Head CD in the sound system and you're good for the night, thanks to lullabies that can sometimes break into headbanging guitar solos (or simply break hearts). Big Head Todd wrote the CD that you've bought a half-dozen times (most likely their gold album, 1993's soulful Sister Sweetly) because you keep losing it — and though you might not listen to it all the time, you can't stand not having it around.
