More About

Despite what the editors of Rolling Stone would have you believe (A Bigger Bang? Second-best album of 2005?! Even Jagger must have cringed at the sycophancy), the Rolling Stones are a spent creative force and have been since 1978's Some Girls. But really — how many crucial albums can we reasonably expect from one group? By my count, they managed at least six before losing the plot. And for those classics (Sticky Fingers? Whew....), we can forgive them just about anything — even jacked-up ticket prices, Jagger solo albums and the murder of founding member Brian Jones (just kidding, team of lawyers). That said, Mick and Keith can still deliver a charge onstage, and their brand of charisma is in very short supply these days. So go ahead — brave the enormodome and see the classic rockers in their natural habitat. One of these days, it actually will be the last time.
