The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Elefantlive spectacles are a study in contrasts. Lead by charismatic (and hunky) frontman Diego Garcia, the latter seduces the audience with engaging declarations of love and debonair rock crunches. The more-distant BRMC, on the other hand, has always let their roaring walls of feedback and druggy JAMC impressions speak for themselves. All bets are off as to how this tour will shake out, however: The Club has embraced a fuzz-free direction (see last year's acoustic-blues barnburner Howl), and Elefant's upcoming The Black Magic Show is a warmer, radio-friendly take on their Bowie- and Moz-obsessed debut, Sunlight Makes Me Paranoid.
