And as part of this scheme, our neighbors up north continue to cast the spell of "hockey," which, through the years, has convinced our impressionable youth to emulate toothless, mulleted guys slipping about on a frozen pond. Then check out the action at the 35th Mid-States High School Club Ice Hockey Association's Championship Games (www.mhsha.org), held at the Savvis Center (South 14th Street and Clark Avenue). By watching the Wickenheiser Cup game at 5:30 p.m. and the Challenge Cup match-up at 8 p.m., you can witness the effects of Canadization on our area's youth.
