The buzz around the south-city group Red Eyed Driver has continued to grow ever since the band formed in 2004, based largely on their heartfelt shows. Their first full-length, End of Restrictions — which features engineering help from Jason Hutto — demonstrates that the band is equally engaging on tape. Bits of Radiohead's longing dream-ballads, jaunty Motown soul and fuzzy indie-rock screeds combine to create a solid debut. Catch Red Eyed Driver's CD-release party Saturday night, even though the band is already hard at work on album number two.
