If anyone ever asks you what your most prized possessions are, you may instinctively blurt out that your still-in-the-box Star Wars action figures are most important to you. But were your house to catch fire, deep down you know you'd grab photo albums, family heirlooms and, OK, maybe one lone Yoda — it's not even about the tangible things themselves, but rather the memories they hold. String of Pearls, a play performed by Webster University's Conservatory of Theatre Arts, traces the history of a necklace through two dozen women and more than three decades. Each pearl is like each woman herself, and the string that runs through the necklace is the story of loss and gain that links all of the women and their memories together. Michele Lowe's String of Pearls opens tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Stage III Theatre in Webster Hall (470 East Lockwood Avenue); call 314-968-7128 to purchase tickets ($5 to $10) and for additional show times this weekend and next (the play runs through Sunday, April 9).
