Published on April 19, 2006

As the resident Law & Order expert here at the RFT, Ms. Day could not believe her eyes when she saw that St. Louis Metropolitan Police Chief Joe Mokwa was going to be a panelist on the FOCUS St. Louis (www.focus-stl.org) forum "Crime & Punishment: Is It Really Like on Law & Order?" Ms. Day can, of course, answer this question without attending the discussion (um, yes, Law & Order and its sister shows are "ripped from the headlines," duh), but she can't wait to hear Mokwa dish on which St. Louis city detective is most like the beloved Lennie Briscoe (Jerry Orbach, RIP) and who among our city's finest has as much street cred as Detective "Fin" Tutuola (Ice-T). U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway and Anthony Davis from Missouri Probation and Parole join Mokwa in the free discussion, happening from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the YWCA (3820 West Pine Boulevard). To reserve your spot at the talk, call 314-622-1250, extension 101.
