You can't get much for a dollar these days — not a gallon of gas (oh, how we miss 1993), not four regular-mail stamps (1988 was a great time for mail), not anything. Even at the Dollar Bin beginning at 9 p.m. on Wednesday nights at the Upstairs Lounge (3131 South Grand Boulevard; 314-773-3388 or www.upstairslounge.com). To get up in there, you need three dollars to pay the cover. But cheap sake and DJ Kenny Kingston — who claims to be "America's #1 Psychic Celebrity DJ" — should make up for all that. Kingston brings the hits from 1985 to 1995, when most things were cheaper (duh) and music wasn't on the Internets. Will he play Bell Biv DeVoe? GNR? The Cure? Only the King knows for sure what's in the Dollar Bin tonight — you know, since he's psychic and all.
