The Ground Floor (215 East Main Street, Belleville, Illinois; 618-277-1026) is the place to be this week, starting with the debut of its monthly electronic music night, Subluminal. Polarized Mind, Superfun Yeah Yeah Rocketshipand the Electrozoids represent for locals, while Girls Rise with Heat are traveling all the way from Texas to unleash their Ladytron-goes-industrial synth-punk. Cleveland post-hardcore throttlers the Lovekill (featuring RFT contributor Jonah Bayer on guitar) conjure Fugazi on a bender with any Steve Albini-produced brainiac noiseniks (or the Jesus Lizard on a non-insane day). Get your discord on at their free Ground Floor gig on Wednesday, May 24 at 9 p.m. ....
