If someone builds a Hardcore Hall of Fame, Sick of It All deserves its own wing. Formed over two decades ago in Queens, New York, SOIA is one of the founders of the legendary NYHC movement and probably the only band from hardcore's nascent heyday who've never called it quits. The group's latest disc, Death to Tyrants, may not be as urgent as classics like Blood, Sweat and No Tearsor Scratch the Surface, but it proves that the band is growing even angrier with age. If you've never seen SOIA before, expect an energetic set spanning the group's catalog, complete with guitarist Pete Koller stomping holes in the stage and his brother Lou leading sing-alongs and demonstrating his style all night long.
