It started with long walks in a graveyard; then came the dead cheerleaders and zombie attacks. But this isn't some B-movie — it's the songbook of Danish psychobilly band the Nekromantix. What could possibly be the next chapter in its scary repertoire? Try "the band that wasn't there." Though showman Kim Nekroman still keeps his coffin-shape bass thumping harder than a heart attack, longtime bandmates the Sandorff brothers went astray in 2005 — leaving some big Creepers to fill. But while fresh flesh typically brings new styles, the group will be digging up old Nekromantix songs on this tour. As 2005's reissue of Brought Back to Lifeproves, Nekroman is going to stick with what he's been doing since 1989: writing ghoulish tunes stitched full of morbid humor and bewitching fans with flashy skills and charismatic live shows.
