(Hyatt Regency Hotel Bar, Union Station)

They take seats away from the bar, near the woman playing the piano.

"Do you think she looks like me?" the girl whispers.

"She's very pretty."

"You think she could be my mom?" she asks, "She has my chin. You see that?"

"I'm not going to turn around," the guy says, "I don't want to be obvious."

"She's not looking."

He turns, looks at the piano player's chin.

"How old do you think she is?" the girl asks.

"I can't tell."

"You think she's old enough? My mom would be 47 this year."

"She could be, I guess."

"I'm always looking for my mom. I can't help it."

"She looks too tall," he says.

"My mom was five foot seven."

"How do you know that?"

"Her records."

The woman at the piano plays "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," very softly. You can barely hear her singing.

"You hear that?"

"What?"
