As Summer Fades into the Twilight...

The music plays on

Outdoor concert series provide the best season barometer — in other words, summer isn't over until we have to enjoy our music inside. So good news: There are still two shows left in the Twilight Tuesdays series, held outdoors at the Missouri History Museum (Lindell Boulevard and DeBaliviere Avenue; 314-454-3150 or www.mohistory.org). On Tuesday, October 3, the Black Rep performs songs from its singing-sensation Dreamgirls, a musical that the theater company presented earlier this summer (and that is being made into a movie starring Beyoncé Knowles and Jamie Foxx). Next week (Tuesday, October 10), Boogie Chyld helps you dance your last summer night away — it'll be sad when the party is over, but at least you'll have gone out shakin' it. Like all concert series should be, Twilight Tuesdays are free, and the shows run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Tue., Oct. 3; Tue., Oct. 10
