There's something so satisfying about snapping into your skis, grabbing your poles and pushing off down the hill to the ski lift for the first time each winter. The crisp air refreshes you. Your visible breath energizes you. And the anticipation you feel waiting in the lift line almost kills you — you want to ski, right now! Once you're at the top of the peak, the butterflies in your stomach rise up, and before you know it, you're swooshing all over the place. This is what you live for! This is what winter's all about. So why are you just sitting around tonight? Find your warm clothes and get that excited feeling at the first Midnight Madness session this season at Hidden Valley (17409 Hidden Valley Drive, Wildwood). The late-night skiing and boarding run from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m., and your lift pass costs $25 (a lift ticket with ski or board rental costs $49). For more information about snow conditions, call 636-938-6999 or visit www.hiddenvalleyski.com. The slopes are waiting!
