Jamie Foxx's stab at musical stardom following his Academy Award-winning portrayal of Ray Charles wasn't exactly the "unpredictable" event suggested by the title of his 2005 album. But the tour that will bring Foxx to the Fabulous Fox qualifies as at least a mild surprise, since the former In Living Colorcomedian and Kanye West duet partner is offering a show that's half-music, half-stand-up-comedy. If that fact gives ammo to those inclined to dismiss Foxx's singing career as a laughing matter, no problem: Foxx, who's now co-starring with Beyoncé in Dreamgirls, has a No. 1 album and three 2007 Grammy nominations to prove that half of this show will be deadly serious.
