Time-Traveling Suitcase

When Tokyo Holocaust Center educator Fumiko Ishioka requested children's artifacts from the Auschwitz Museum, she received a small suitcase labeled "Hana Brady, waisenkind" — German for "orphan." Ishioka and her students were intrigued enough to try to track down the story of Hana's origins and her ultimate fate. What happens next is the story of Hana's Suitcase, a Metro Theater Company production that plays at the Edison Theatre at Washington University (6445 Forsyth Boulevard) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with 2 p.m. matinees on Saturday and Sunday (January 11 through 21). Tickets ($15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors) are available at the Edison Theatre box office or through www.metrotix.com. Visit www.metrotheatercompany.org for more information.
Thursdays-Sundays. Starts: Jan. 11. Continues through Jan. 21
