Gregg Allman has endured many tribulations through the years, including the untimely deaths of his brother Duane and bandmate Berry Oakley, substance abuse, tabloid headlines, and a nasty public dispute with former Allman Brothers Band guitarist Dickey Betts. But Allman has proved to be a true survivor, and at age 59, he's still singing and playing keyboards and guitar with skill, energy and passion. Now on a solo tour with a band which includes legendary Muscle Shoals session man Jerry Jemmott on bass, Booker T. and the M.G.'s drummer Steve Potts and the sorely underappreciated keyboard wizard Neil Larsen Allman is showcasing new arrangements of favorites from the Allman Brothers Band, as well as material from his solo catalog, plus vintage blues and soul covers.
