February's Select Night at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis (3750 Washington Boulevard) fights flooding with "Fire," the theme for tonight's free party. This is one of the Big Read events taking place all around town to celebrate Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 (bigread.wustl.edu), and in the spirit of reading, Select Night encourages 21-and-uppers to donate books to libraries destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. The generous contribution not only nets partygoers drink tickets, but also Wolfgang Puck's sizzling snacks. Adding fuel to the fire is DJ Latin Power with the hot-'n'-spicy beats, and Viva Salsa throws in some sultry moves (try to emulate these dance routines, especially the kicks). Plus, during all the dining, drinking, dancing and donating, people will have another opportunity to check out the excellent new exhibit I Remember Heaven: Jim Hodges and Andy Warhol, which opened Friday, January 26. Select Night happens from 6 to 9 p.m.; call 314-535-4660 or visit www.contemporarystl.org for more information.
