When Tea for Two Is Played

Back in its heyday, Union Station was a romantic place where people went to depart on trips to wherever the trains could take them. Alas, today it is nothing more than a shopping mall. But that's not to say there's no romance to be found there, especially when we're talking about the Station Grille at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis, which is located in the former train station (1820 Market Street). And who needs to travel anyway? This restaurant's executive chef, Patrick McElroy, actually prefers to keep things local — when it comes to buying produce and other ingredients. See what he's cooking up right now, and have a taste (or three!) of Station Grille's offerings when you eat there during the Three for Thirty fundraiser, happening throughout the month of February. With this dinner special, you get three courses for $30, and 10 percent of your meal cost benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro St. Louis (www.stlouis.wish.org). Not bad at all! To make your reservations, call the restaurant at 314-802-3460; the Station Grille is open seven days a week.
