While they're always rollin' in Soulard, the Party Gras really gets underway today at the Grand Parade. One by one, thousand by thousand, ten thousand by ten — you get the idea — revelers flood the storied riverside neighborhood to soak up the phantasmagoria. Hilarious, ridiculous and sublime, the krewes of Mardi Gras float down the street dispensing kind, gentle good cheer. You, too, can catch the excitement (and beads) on South Broadway from Chouteau Avenue to Sidney Street. The parade is scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., but time does not really exist at Mardi Gras, where "They say Bon Scott (always) rules."
