Even in these modern times, Ms. Day still can't get enough (just can't get enough) of the '80s. She's preserved many of her decades-old artifacts under glass, and she hasn't even been able to part with her humongous shoulder pads (though she now uses them as throw pillows). And because of her special fondness for the Brat Pack's decade, she gets a bit peeved at those TV shows claiming to sum up the music and spirit of the '80s with "Come on Eileen" c'mon VH1: This special era was so much more than Dexys Midnight Runners! Ms. Day hopes to find a more well-rounded, realistic '80s appreciation at the Back to the Cause '80s Trivia Night and Dance Party at the City Museum (701 North 15th Street). This fundraiser for Shriners Hospital for Children gives a nod to Back to the Future, and in addition to the aforementioned dancing (the trivia tables are sold out), there will be an '80s costume contest and a silent auction. Arrive at 9 p.m. for the moonwalkin' fun with $25 in hand drinks are free, leaving you with more money to place your auction bids. For more information about this benefit, visit www.backtothecause.org; you can buy your tickets through this Web site, too.
