Grammy-nominated metal powerhouse Killswitch Engage is gigging without guitarist/producer/band mouthpiece Adam Dutkiewicz on the No Fear Music Tour, since he's forgoing KSE's headlining slot to have emergency surgery for a debilitating back injury. With Pat Lachman (Damageplan, Halford) subbing in until Adam D. recuperates, the Massachusetts quintet may be short on charisma this month, but it'll at least be well-represented on axe. KSE will also be in good company via Cleveland metalcore fixture Chimaira, which is riding high off the response to its blistering, progged-out new full-length, Resurrection (ironically, the band's first album since being dropped by KSE's label, Roadrunner). Add support from British power-metal shred machine DragonForce and North Carolina dirge-metal unit He Is Legend, and you've got a bill so strong, we wouldn't be surprised to find Adam D. logrolling out of his hospital bed just to catch a date.
