For those of you who go from one heart-pumping extreme activity to the next, the St. Louis stop of the touring Banff Mountain Film Festival (sponsored in part by the RFT) is a great event to attend you'll finally be able to take a breath during the eight films. And for those others of you who get winded from a trip to the fridge or while even thinking about participating in something like mountain biking, well, this festival is for you, too (if not to get you motivated, then at least to get you watching a screen outside of your home for a change). The Alpine Shop brings this fest from Canada to the Moolah Theatre & Lounge (3821 Lindell Boulevard), and the works represent a variety of sporting themes, from cycling across Asia (relax) and disabled skiing in the Rockies to kids who skateboard and animals who lead their own kind of extreme lives. Tickets cost $10 in advance at any of the Alpine Shop locations (visit www.alpineshop.com for addresses and more information on the films) or $12 at the box office; call 314-962-7715 for more information. The screenings begin at 7 p.m.
