And now, all the world shall witness the fury that is your incomparable Guitar Hero 2 prowess. The third stage of the KPNT Guitar Hero Competition is tonight at Pop’s (1403 Mississippi Avenue, Sauget, Illinois; 618-274-6720 or www.popsrocks.com), and at stake is a chance to showcase your fretwork on the main stage of Pointfest. All you need to do is play your guts out on a randomly selected song from the PlayStation 2 version of the game; you’ll be judged on synchronization, style and points accumulated -- and it’s "hard" or "expert" level only, Sonny. Registration begins at 6 p.m., and slots are limited. Admission is free, and wireless guitars will be provided if you don’t have one of your own (loser). Pray to Trogdor for success!
