All this nice weather has made you restless. You know you need to be outside, so get! But walking around the neighborhood is so played, and driving with the windows down isn’t exactly an outdoor activity. You need a different set of wheels to transport you out of your people-mover rut and get you to see your town in a whole new way -- you need to ride a bicycle. But that banana-seat number with the tassels and basket isn’t going to cut it, so head down to the riverfront near the Gateway Arch to rent a bicycle or a quadcycle (877-982-1410 or www.gatewayarch.com) during this, the tail-end of National Tourism Week. Through Wednesday, May 16, wheeled rentals are $5 off their normal $20-to-$25 price, and the rides are available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. St. Louis has never looked so good.
