Little Frenchy was once the name on the tips of tongues all over, for he was a famous circus star. But, alas, the celebrity went to his head -- and so did the pressures of that fame. Yet he didnt turn to alcohol or drugs to ease the stress; Frenchy suffered in silence, eventually forcing a mental breakdown. Now, the scientists and the animal charities are involved -- Frenchy is a chimpanzee, after all -- and our hero continues to languish. So, what will become of his life now? The Little Frenchy Files, a new play by Joe Hanrahan, explains it all. You can see this work, along with Hanrahans Soldier Boy (a look at war past and present), at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday (May 31 through June 9). The plays are staged together by After Midnight at Technisonic Studios (500 South Ewing Avenue), and tickets cost $10 to $15.
