Hey, Ho, Gazebo!By Alison SieloffPublished on June 13, 2007Kids are always flapping their gums about how parents (and grandparents) just don’t understand. But everyone knows these whippersnappers are the ones who don’t get it. Show them a little taste of what life was like back in the early ยด60s, back when you were a kid, at the Friday, June 15, installment of the Old Orchard Gazebo Series. “Rockabilly Filly” Rosie Flores starts the night off with a concert at 7 p.m., and then American Graffiti screens at 9 p.m. That’ll show those teenagers about being a kid -- and about cruisin’! (It’ll also provide proof that George Lucas did other things besides the Star Wars movies.) Admission to the concert and film is free, and the series continues in Gazebo Park (Big Bend Boulevard and South Old Orchard Avenue, Webster Groves; 314-961-8810) every Friday night (except July 6) until July 20; other films include The Goonies and Best in Show. For optimal enjoyment, bring along a lawn chair or a blanket, but don’t worry about food: Area restaurants will feed you (for a small price, of course).
