More About
Lo, many years ago, little Miss Day idolized Olivia Newton-Johns innocent Sandy in the movie Grease. That beautiful blond hair, that lush voice, those lady-like clothes: This was the kind of high-schooler Miss Day wanted to be. As she grew older though, Day began to appreciate Sandys rebellious streak more than her prim ensembles, so thats why Ms. Days thinking shell love the Broadway version of Grease, playing nightly at 8:15 p.m. at the Muny in Forest Park (314-361-1900 or www.muny.org) from Monday, June 25, through Tuesday, July 3. This more-adult production still has great songs like Summer Nights and Greased Lightning, but the Muny warns theatergoers that the shows language might not be cool for the little ones -- Ms. Days a rebel, indeed! Tickets to Grease cost $9 to $62, and purchasing them is pretty systematic and mostly automatic when you visit www.metrotix.com.
