Pan’s a Man, Baby

Sprinkle on some fairy dust and remember how to not grow up when Peter Pan takes the Muny stage in Forest Park for one week only (Monday through Sunday, July 16 through 22). For St. Louis’ premier outdoor theater, this is the seventh time to stage Pan, but the first time with a man. Traditionally the leading role is played by a woman, but this season, Francis Jue, who starred in the 2006 Muny production of The King and I, portrays our whimsical boy wonder. With a specially designed, outdoor Flying by Foy pulley system and grid, the performances’ mid-air theatrics should inspire nothing short of childlike delight. Grab the family for a night of fun in the free seats, or reserve tickets ($9 to $62) in advance through the Muny’s ticket office, by phone at 314-534-1111 or online at www.metrotix.com. All performances begin at 8:15 p.m.
July 16-22
