Roll Out!

The inherent drama of the bowling alley -- a tenth-frame spare! A stone seven! Gutterball! -- has long been ignored by theater mavens (the notable exception being Kingpin). But OnSite Theatre Company has tied on the rental shoes to trod the waxed boards at last with Bowling Epiphany, a perfect marriage of material and venue. Three bowling-centric plays are presented in the retro-fab environs of Epiphany Lanes, the intimate bowling alley housed by Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church (3164 Ivanhoe Avenue), allowing you to bowl and mingle with other audience members and the cast, even as the plays unfold on a nearby alley (all the alleys are nearby at Epiphany -- it’s a cozy place). Epiphany Lanes has a sweet little snack bar to satisfy your need for something frosty between frames, and tickets are just $20. Make your reservations through www.onsitetheatre.org now, because alley space is limited. You’re up at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday (July 12 through 21).
Thursdays-Saturdays. Starts: July 12. Continues through July 21
