The folks at Crown Valley Winery (23589 State Route WW, Ste. Genevieve) seem like a fun group to get to know. For starters, they’re hosting a Berry Festival this weekend (Saturday and Sunday, July 14 and 15), which features fresh-made berry desserts, a wagon ride through the berry patch and live music (Deep Six on Saturday and Gargoyle Lounge on Sunday). Fun times, indeed. But what’s even more entertaining is the fact that during the fest you can taste all kinds of berry wines, including Chuck Berry vintages. Ha! The berry, merry party runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days, and admission is free. For directions to the winery and for more information, call 866-207-9463 or visit www.crownvalleywinery.com.
