Critics' Picks If video-game placement is the new MySpace profile, consider the Sleeping the new Tom. With two albums and a stint on the 2006 Nintendo Fusion Tour below its studded belts, the band has appeared on Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam and Madden NFL '07. The Long Island quartet's melding of chant-along choruses with hardcore breakdowns and subtly danceable flourishes may not make for easy genre-placement, but along with a proclivity for mixed-media album art, it's just another arena in which the consummate line-blurrers blend the best of all possible worlds.
