For some of us, the world hasn’t been quite the same since Jerry Garcia died. There just seems to be a little less love around, fewer free spirits and a lot less tie-dye. Get back some of those good Grateful Dead vibes during Jerry Garcia Week, happening at the Grateful Inn (7336 Manchester Road, Maplewood; 314-647-3323). On Wednesday through Friday (August 1 through 3), bands play nightly from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and there’s a $5 cover; the Eisen Brothers offer an acoustic set on Friday. Then, on Saturday, August 4, the jam session gets started at 6 p.m., and three groups are scheduled, including Madahoochi as the finale to this long-ish, strange trip. The cover on Saturday is $8 to $10, and don’t forget to bring along a little extra cash so you can take part in the vapor bar and try some of the Grateful Inn’s tasty food. Plus, vendors will be set up -- maybe you can get a new tie-dyed T-shirt.
