LOCAL MOTION

The name One for the Team might be unfamiliar, but the Minneapolis band has some serious St. Louis ties: It's the summery, Beulah-ish outfit of Ian Anderson — no, not of Jethro Tull, but of Afternoon Records, the label that put out Target Market's excellent 2006 album, No Thrills. And as for the all-instrumental prog-metal powerhouse Thor Axe — well, it's comprised of the members of So Many Dynamos, a few of their friends and lots of carefree fun.
