More About
Local singer Charles Glenn has made a career of performing at weddings and banquets and belting out the national anthem for our local athletic clubs (like the Rams). But give him the chance to sing a slow, sonorous soul song, and the mans voice can melt butter; depending on the mood, he can work a nimble, jazz-inflected style or a seductive croon. Hear Glenn and his versatile range at Finale (8025 Bonhomme Avenue, Clayton) as he pays tribute to the great male vocalists of the 1980s. While Glenns set list is unknown at this time, we have a few suggestions: Billy Oceans Suddenly, Al Jarreaus Were in This Love Together and Luther Vandross A House Is Not a Home, all of which would fit right in with Glenns silk-sheets-and-Champagne style. Glenn puts on two shows (at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m.), and tickets are $11. For more information call 314-863-8631 or visit www.finale-stl.com.
