This coming weekend, fully half a dozen local theater companies begin their new seasons. Stray Dog Theatre gets a jump on the weekend festivities by throwing a big party this evening. The occasion? Well, SDT has a new venue, the Tower Grove Abbey (2336 Tennessee Avenue; 314-865-1995 or www.towergroveabbey.org), and since SDT has a show of its own starting a run tomorrow (Tennessee WilliamsSuddenly Last Summer), the Stray Dog Theatre Open House takes place tonight. From 6 to 10 p.m., you can tour the building (a former church), enjoy live entertainment and refreshments, and mingle with the cast of the play. Be sure to congratulate them on the new digs and then return in the near future to see the space put to work.
