In one incarnation or another, Glossary has been rocking the twang or twanging the rock for ten years — which means they finally have the track record to get an interview on MSNBC.com and a Band of the Month pick in Paste. That's not as depressing as it sounds: Diminutive singer and southpaw guitarist Joey Kneiser and wife Kelly are as reticent before publicity ponzi schemes as they are gutsy at their microphones. Together they harmonize over slashed electric guitars and glinting pedal steel like they know the country of their native Tennessee — but Glossary plays like it knows it's a rock band that only has songs, not showbiz tricks, to make a connection. With heart, without affect, and loudly — it does.
