Pity the poor child artists of the world; for all of their hard work at finger-painting and crayon-scribbling, the best these pint-size Picassos can hope for is a space on Moms fridge. Tonight, however, the tables are turned as a slew of young artists, many of whom have been touched by cancer, will have their artwork shown and auctioned off at the Kodner Gallery (9650 Clayton Road, Ladue; 314-993-4477 or www.kodnergallery.com) as part of the St. Louis Charitable Foundations Childrens Art Project fundraiser. The night kicks off at 7 p.m. with cocktails and hors doeuvres, and the evening features both silent and live auctions. Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door, and proceeds benefit the Friends of Kids with Cancers art-therapy program, Child Life Services of St. Louis Childrens Hospitals art-therapy program and Terris Tutors of Churchill Center & School.
